From researching into music videos I found that these were the ones that came up most frequently, most of which I have heard of myself or have watched on the TV. However some channels such as Scuzz, JBTV, fuse and Vh1, I haven't heard of before; this could be because they don't show the music genres I listen to or have an interest in, it could also be because I am of a different age to what these channels target.
I had a look on some of the websites for these channels to look for the different advertisement and links that they have. I found that on the '4Music' website, it presents various factors that isn't just the advertisement of the music channel itself. Firstly from the colours, fonts and images used there is a clear target audience they are aiming for which is between 14-20. The websites includes videos, news, charts, shows, photos, apps, and competitions, as well as having links to other social networks.
The 4Music website also advertises other music channels by presenting links to stream the channels online.
From this I can see a clear target audience and the website is made to be interesting, eye catching and informal with access to latest celebrity gossip and news, which I know is something that young people have a big interest in.
Consider how you can use these institutional features on your ancillary products. Perhaps post the back covers of a few digipaks and perhaps an advert for a digipak. Have a look at the institutional features on them and then in more detail at the institution used.
